A teeny tiny micro-wedding at the stunning teeny tiny micro-venue Hideaway Lane in the heart of Wollongong, starring Jaz and Sam, and their dogs!
This was the first time I got to shoot at this beautiful venue, recently renovated post-covid with new owners honouring it’s heritage. This venue was the perfect backdrop for our super low-key celebration, highlighting the sweet and shy nature of our couple and complementing their personalities wonderfully. If you ever have the chance for a high tea here – go for it!
The afternoon started off with some pre-wedding jitters and the arrival of our groom, greeted by the cutest of chaperones – dogs Arlo and Georgie – who quickly helped settle any nerves by being adorable. Our small crowd was ushered into the gardened courtyard, the doors closed, and our bride arrived, tucked away inside.
Their ceremony was short and sweet, curated by the wonderful Sharon Campbell. It was full of heart, love, tears and warmth – a completely wholesome and intimate affair.
After the rush of nerves, we stepped out to take portraits along the nearby night-life spot Globe Lane, while the team back at Hideaway Lane flipped the space into a mini-buffet for their dinner. Normally camera-shy, our couple stepped out of their comfort zones, escorted by their pooches, for some amazing pictures just as the sun fell and twilight set in, and the lights began to twinkle around them.
Our evening ended with a beautiful tiny banquet with grazing tables, hot finger foods and topped off with a little something sweet.
